Evening Lecture: The Design and Construction of Páirc Uí Chaoimh Stadium

In this lecture, Mr. Sean Breen, Chartered Engineer, Malachy Walsh and Partners, will outline the challenges faced by the design and construction teams in the delivery of this fantastic facility which hosted its first inter-county hurling and football championship games in the Summer of 2017.

Masonry Fixings and ACOL Ltd in association with Sure CPS Group will present a CPD on the design and selection of the correct Helical Products for Conservation projects

Jonathan Thomas  Technical Director at Quickbase Foundation Systems (Engineer with 20 years experience of specifying & installing helical material)
Terry Foster  Sure CPS ( Mech Engineer with 25 years experience of specifying, installing and manufacturing helical material)

The Presentation will cover:
Influences that make buildings crack.
Identification  and assessment of the damage.
Production of helical product.
Testing.
Certification.
Advantages of helical product.
Basic Structural considerations.
Identifying the appropriate product to repair the damage.
Repair Methods.
Reference Projects.
Other related products.

The Participant will take away a better understanding of why buildings crack, identifying the reasons and having a little knowledge of what can be done to repair the damage.
